The Maharashtra government has introduced the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana,' a special scheme aimed at supporting the state's youth. Announced by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, this program seeks to provide significant financial assistance to students based on their educational achievements, while also addressing the pressing issue of unemployment in the state.
The scheme, announced during the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi at the Vitthal temple in Pandharpur, offers a monthly stipend to students who have completed their 12th grade, are pursuing a diploma, or have graduated. Specifically, 12th pass students will receive Rs 6,000 per month, diploma students will get Rs 8,000 per month, and graduates will be awarded Rs 10,000 per month.
Chief Minister Shinde highlighted the dual purpose of the scheme: providing immediate financial relief and preparing a skilled workforce for the future. Shinde stated that the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' will not only support the youth financially but also equip them with practical skills and experience. Under this initiative, youths will undergo a one-year apprenticeship in various factories, allowing them to gain valuable work experience and enhance their employability.
This apprenticeship component is a pivotal aspect of the scheme. The government will subsidize these apprenticeships, ensuring that the participants are paid during their training period.
