One of the most popular government schemes amongst farmers is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan). Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Central Government provides financial assistance to the farmers. The government transfers Rs 6,000 to the farmers’ account in three installments in a year. PM Kisan Beneficiary receives Rs 2,000 after every 4 months. So far, the Government has disbursed 8 installments under PM Kisan Yojana.
Besides PM Kisan, there are many government schemes in agriculture for the welfare and holistic development of farmers.
How to take benefit of PM Kisan Scheme?
If you also want to take advantage of this scheme, then you have to register for it. But before registering make sure that your Aadhaar card is linked with your bank account. However, farmers of Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir have been relaxed from this condition.
Who is eligible for PM Kisan

Farmers belonging to any Indian state are eligible for the scheme. (Earlier, the Income Support was given only to farmers with cultivable land up to 2 hectares. But BJP in 2019 election manifesto had promised to extend PM-Kisan to all 14.5 Crore farmers in the country irrespective of their land sizes).

Must have Savings Account / Jan-Dhan Account in their name, as the money will be transferred directly into the bank accounts.
Check your name in PM Kisan New List
Step 1 - Go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana - https://pmkisan.gov.in.
Step 2 - On the homepage, you will find Farmers Corner option.
Step 3 – In that section, look for Beneficiaries List and click it.
Step 4 - Now select your State, District, Sub District, Block & Village from the drop down list.
Step 5 - Then click on Get Report.
Step 6 - Complete list of PM Kisan beneficiaries will appear on the screen
Go through the list and check whether your name is there or not.
How to Edit/correct any mistakes in application form
If by chance, you have made any mistake in the application form like while filling in Aadhaar number, mobile number or bank account number due to which money has not come in your account. Now there is a provision to edit the details online. Not only this, if your name is not there then you can add your name.
Just go to farmers corner section and click 'edit aadhar details'.
If your application is properly submitted then you will timely receive Rs. 6000 every year under this scheme. You can use this money for various agricultural purposes.
Also Government is about to release the 9th installment of PM Kisan Yojana soon.
