Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on 28th September 2020 launched YSR Jalakala Scheme 2020. The YSR Jala Kala scheme is a part of the Rythu Barosa scheme. Under YSR Jalakala Scheme 2020, farmers will get free Borewell from the AP government.
It is important to mention that Jala Kala Scheme is also known as Free Borewell Scheme. Farmers who want to lay borewells in their field would be given financial support from the state government.
YSR Jalakala Scheme 2020 Details
The main objective of this scheme is to dig free Borewells for the Farmers who have 2.5 to 5 acres of land. To apply for this scheme Offline, you will have to take the application Form from the village Volunteers in the respective areas and submit it to the VRO with all required documents.
After the VRO verifies the application forms, the Village Secretariat Board will send it in advance to the geologist to check out the groundwater in their fields/lands. After that the application is transferred to the geologist department for final approval. Now the technician will call the selected farmers and begin to lay the boreholes on their land.
Eligibility for YSR Jalakala Scheme

Farmers must have 2.5 to 5 acres of land to avail the benefit of this scheme. If they have less than 2.5 acres of land then they should collaborate with neighbour’s land and lay free borewell.

Must be a permanent citizen of Andhra Pradesh and have a white ration Card.

Those who have already constructed the borewell in their land will not be eligible for the scheme.

The scheme can be availed only once per Farmer.

Government employees are not eligible for the scheme

First Priority would be given to Small, Marginal, SC/ ST/ Women Farmers.

Then enter your Aadhar card Number & One-time password (OTP) to get the Online Borewell application form.

Now select district, Mandal, panchayat, village, Habitation & click on the Go option.

Provide all your personal details, land details, other information, and submit it.
