ICAR-IARI Announces Online Interviews for Genetics Division Positions, Apply before April 25

The Division of Genetics at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is seeking applications for online interviews for positions in the ICAR-IRRI-funded project code 12-260. Project Details

The ICAR-IRRI funded project titled "Thematic Area-2: Integrated direct seeded rice system for India" aims at the "Development and testing of direct seeded rice breeding lines India using the 7 pipelines of One Rice breeding strategy."

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Number of Positions: One (1)
Entitlement: Rs.35,000 + 24% HRA
Qualifications:

Essential: Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with 4/5 years of Bachelor's Degree. At least two years of research experience in Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations.
Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping, and handling rice crop.

Skilled Helper

Number of Positions: One (1)
Entitlement: Rs.21,215/- (consolidated) per month
Qualifications:

Essential: Completion of 10+2 in Agriculture/Horticulture/Science/Arts/Commerce.
Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop.

Age Limit: Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).

Important Information

The positions are temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially until 31/03/2025, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
