The Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bangalore, a part of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is seeking applications from Indian Nationals for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) roles.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill specific educational and experience requirements to apply for these positions.

Educational Qualifications

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): A BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with a valid GATE score, or an ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Research Associate (RA): A PhD in Biomedical/Electronics Engineering, or an ME/MTech in Biomedical/Medical Electronics Engineering with three years of research/design and development experience, and at least one publication in an SCI-indexed journal.

Age Limit

  • JRF: Maximum age of 28 years as of the application closing date.

  • RA: Maximum age of 35 years as of the application closing date.

  • Age relaxation is available for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

Application Process

Interested candidates must submit their applications by 24th June 2024. The application process is as follows:

  1. Download: Obtain the application form from the DRDO website.

  2. Prepare Documents: Collect all necessary documents, including educational certificates, birth certificate, GATE/NET score card (if applicable), and caste certificate (if applicable).

  3. Compile: Combine the filled application form and all documents into a single PDF file named in the format "SUBJECT CODE_YOUR NAME_DATE OF EMAIL".

  4. Submit: Email the PDF file to hrd.debel.debel@gov.in.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

  • Initial Screening: Evaluation of applications based on qualifications and eligibility criteria.

  • Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

  • Written Test: A written test may be conducted depending on the number of applicants.

Candidates should maintain an active email ID for communication and be ready to provide necessary documents during the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
