ICAR-IARI invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for Research Associate (RA), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), and Project Assistant positions. These temporary and unreserved roles will contribute to cutting-edge research in genome editing and climate-resilient agriculture under various projects.

Position Overview

1. Research Associate (RA) - 2 Posts

Emoluments:

Rs 49,000 + HRA per month (Master’s degree holders with 3 years experience)
Rs 54,000 + HRA per month (Ph.D. holders)

Age Limit:

40 years for men; 45 years for women
Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years)

Essential Qualification:

With Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Botany, or related life science disciplines.
With Master’s Degree: Master's in relevant life science disciplines with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of research experience. Candidates must have one research paper in an SCI/NAAS-rated journal (≥4.0).

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 2 Posts

Emoluments: Rs 31,000 + 24% HRA per month

Age Limit:35 years for men; 40 years for women

Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years)

Essential Qualification:

Master’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Life Sciences, Microbiology) with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications (NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF).
Candidates must have 2 years of research experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in molecular techniques, genome editing, plant tissue culture, and scientific writing.

Additional Information

Nature of Engagement: Temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Duration: Initially for 6 months, extendable based on project requirements and performance.
Selection Process:

Screening of applications based on eligibility, academic performance, and research experience.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for an online/in-person interview in Delhi.
The final results will be published on the official ICAR-IARI website.
