Qualifications and Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized institution, registered with the Veterinary Council of India or respective State/UT Councils, with three years of veterinary practice, one year of teaching experience in stable management, and one year of experience in horse care.

Officers from Central or State Governments, Union Territories, Autonomous or Statutory Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, or Recognized Research Institutions are eligible if they hold analogous posts on a regular basis or have served for two years in Level-9 (Rs. 53,100-1,67,800) or four years in Level-8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100) in the pay matrix.

The deputation period, including prior ex-cadre posts, should not exceed three years, and the maximum age limit for deputation is fifty-six years as of the application deadline.
Age limit: Maximum age limit of the candidate is 56 years.
