A grand event in the Indian auto business is none other than the Auto Expo. It's an excellent affair for automakers where they get a chance to put up a majestic grandeur to attract some eyeballs which build up interest around their products.
Almost everyone eagerly wait for this event as it comes once in every two years. So everyone hold on your breath as we will tell you the dates of 2020 Auto Expo. You can block these dates in your calendar and set a reminder on your phones. The 2020 Auto Expo will take place from February 7 to February 12 at the Indian Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
This time also carmakers will put up a big show at the auto expo and we are expecting a range of upcoming models, concepts and some exciting launches to happen. But, the participation by automakers is of great concern. It is expected to go down this time as the prolonged downturn in the auto industry has compelled automakers to take cost cutting.
Even in the last auto expo 2018, quite a few eminent automakers did not participate. Like, the entire Volkswagen Group (including Volkswagen Cars, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley), Skoda Auto, FCA Group (including Fiat and Jeep), Ford and Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan along with Datsun did not participate. In motorcycle makers, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, Harley Davidson and Ducati (also a part of Volkswagen Group) were not part of the event.
Some excitement for the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo will come from the house of Mahindra and all of them are popular models like the next-generation Scorpio, XUV500 and Thar along with the electric XUV300. It is likely that there will be a strong presence from Tata Motors which can launch the Altroz premium hatchback and Buzzard SUV (seven-seater Harrier) at the 2020 Auto Expo along with showcasing the Hornbill micro SUV prototype.
The facelifted Tiago, Tigor and Nexon can also be unveiled at the Auto Expo. We expect the upcoming S-Presso hatchback, 2020 Vitara Brezza Facelift and the Vitara mid-size SUV to debut at the 2020 Auto Expo.
