Coronavirus lockdown has led to the shutdown of the entire nation. However, the state governments on the advisory of Health ministry to maintain social distance has come out with a method to issue E pass to go put for essential things amid nationwide curfew. These essential movements will be regulated by the E pass & will be closely monitored by the government.
Curfew E-Pass for Punjab Farmers:
The Punjab Government has recently collaborated with OLA to develop a platform to issue e-passes for the 17 lakh farmers in the state. Apart from regulating online the movement of trailers & other vehicles in grain markets.
The app has been adopted by the Punjab Mandi Board to launch an e-pass system with the help of the Department of Governance Reforms & Public Grievances amid Covid-19 lockdown, as per a press statement issued by the government.
This app will alert the farmers of Punjab of the rush points in a mandi to check overcrowding. A dashboard in the app will also sends alerts on pass issuance, expiry and validation.
Various state governments are issuing curfew passes which will work as identity cards. The curfew e-pass will ease the navigation for the essential service providers. In Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) curfew passes are being issued to facilitate free movement of the essential service providers within the city & some of the neighboring districts.
How to get Curfew e-Pass in Delhi-NCR?
Passes can be obtained by both, i.e. through online (going to the official website) & even offline.
How to apply for E-pass online In Delhi?
In Delhi, the organisations providing essential services are supposed to apply for curfew passes from the DCP office of the concerned district. Once the requirements are assessed, the additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of the district will issue the curfew E pass.
How to get Curfew e-Pass for neighbouring districts of Delhi?
For the below districts, the E curfew pass can be obtained through the mentioned offices:
Gurgaon and Manesar: South-West DCP
Faridabad: South-East DCP office
Ghaziabad: Shahdara DCP
Noida: East DCP office

Step 2: Tap on the link 'Apply for e-pass'
Step 3: The link will direct you to E pass website
Step 4: Choose the reason for which you wish to apply for the curfew e-pass
Step 5: The people who have already applied can check their status for E pass.

The Delhi government has also come up with an option to get the e-pass on WhatsApp. There are number provided as per the area where people can send a message.
