The Ministry of Ayush intends to build a world-class Ayush infrastructure throughout the country, which will be critical in driving India's Ayush revolution. Almost 41 Ayush infrastructure projects worth Rs. 1955.45 crores are planned across the country, including new construction and upgrades to existing National Institutes/Central Councils.

On this occasion, Sarbananda Sonowal stated that time-bound infrastructure development of National Institutes and Central Councils is a key focus area for Ayush to better serve humanity. He directed that all works for the benefit of the people be completed as soon as possible.

The Minister went on to say that the construction of Ayush infrastructure should be approached in the same way that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "GatiShakti" holistic infrastructure development scheme is. Ayush officials and project management consultants should take serious note of this action philosophy.

The key infrastructure projects of the Ministry of Ayush include the establishment of satellite institutes of four National Institutes, the phase II campus of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi, and the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homeopathy (NEIAH) in Shillong.

Ayush wing at AIIMS, NCI at Jhajjar, Nisarg Gram at NIN, Pune, and others are also important projects. NPCC Ltd., WAPCOS Ltd., NBCC (I) Ltd., CPWD, MECON, and PWD are among the prominent project management consultants hired for these projects.

Last week, the minister dedicated the Ayush building complex in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. This complex will house the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy's Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy (RRIH) and the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine's Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM).
