500 PROGRESSIVE FARMERS OF MURSHIDABAD LEARNED HOW TO CREATE VERMI COMPOST AND USE OF POLY-HOUSE.
One day Krishi mela was organized on 30th august 2017 in Raghunathgunj 2 Krishak Bazar(Rampura Agril. Farm, Jangipur subdivision, Murshidabad). our district co ordinator ms Runa nath with the help of the district’s horticulture department arranged that training come conference supported by Krishijagran and it’s associates S-Usha, Silpaulin( Sureme poly group).
Several Dignitaries attended that Krishi Mela as Mr. Tapas Dutta, Deputy Director of Agriculture(district head of agri dept); (G Kesab Rao, District Dev. Manager-NABARD; Dr. Subhadeep Nath,Subdivisional Horticulture Officer;Mr. Amrit Hansda, Asst. Director of Agriculture, Raghunathgunj 2;Asst. Director of Animsl Resource dept.; Krishi Karmadhyakshya, Raghunathgunj 2; Block Technology Manager, ATMA central govt project came in that particular place.
This particular Krishi Mela from KJ is selected because of a sound farmer’s base with several progressive farmers adjoining places. The subdivision town Jangipur nearby & several trade activities. From the office of the Asst. Director of Agriculture & Subdivional Horticulture Officer already training & awareness programmes about use of plastics in agri/horticulture was done prior. More over the NGO "S-USHA" was there with 40 farmers clubs amounting 500 progressive farmers under them & connected with NABARD. Silpaulin poly-liner 35 GSM for farmers & training activities in vermi composting & poly-green house were displayed in front of the 500 farmers of that area.
