On July 9, 2024, the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' brought together farmers from across the region at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Organized by Krishi Jagran and sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, the event was themed 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat.' The Utsav, powered by Dhanuka Agritech and supported by Somani Seedz and STIHL India, with ICAR as the knowledge partner, provided a significant platform for the agricultural community.
The day began with participant registration. Over 250 farmers and industry experts participated, discussing vital topics such as Farm mechanization and horticulture. Distinguished attendees included Dr. R. C. Sharma, Dean of the College of Horticulture; Jitendra Singh, Deputy Director of Agriculture for Chhindwara district; Dr. D. C. Srivastava, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK; Dr. H. G. S. Pakshwar, Deputy Director of Veterinary Services; M. L. Uike, Deputy Director of Horticulture; Dr. V. K. Paradkar, former Dean of the College of Horticulture; Mer Singh Chaudhary, District President of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh; Agricultural Scientist Riya Thakur; Shweta Singh, DDM Nabard; Ram Kinkar Verma, ASM Dhanuka Agritech Limited; Savdeep Bawa, Zonal Marketing Manager for Mahindra Tractors; Ramkrishan Kushwaha, Sales Officer for Somani Seeds; and Pradhyuman Tripathi, Territory Manager for Mahindra Tractor, who spoke about tractor maintenance and industry innovations. The welcome speech was delivered by Chanchal Bhargava, followed by a success story presentation by Mer Singh Chaudhary.
Speakers shared insights on innovative farming solutions and the latest agricultural equipment. Keynote speeches covered enhancing farm income and recognizing the achievements of progressive farmers in the region. Following the presentations, certificates were distributed to progressive farmers, celebrating their contributions.
A highlight of the event was Krishi Jagran's introduction of the Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI) award initiative. This program is designed to offer valuable insights and motivate farmers to celebrate excellence and innovation in agriculture. Additionally, farmers had the opportunity to visit the Mahindra Tractors, Dhanuka, and STIHL stalls to learn about the latest equipment and advancements in the industry.
