India Post has officially released the first merit list for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024. Applicants who have applied for these positions can now access the circle-wise and category-wise merit lists on the official websites: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in and indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in.

The merit list covers several postal circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. Results for other postal circles are expected to be announced soon.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 GDS posts nationwide. The selection process is entirely based on candidates' 10th-grade marks, with no interviews or written examinations involved. The merit list has been meticulously compiled based on these academic results. Candidates who have been shortlisted will proceed to the Document Verification (DV) stage, followed by a Medical Examination (ME).

Candidates can download the merit list and check their status via the official websites. During the document verification process, the eligibility of the candidates will be confirmed. If there are vacancies left unfilled after this round, additional merit lists will be published. India Post invited applications for these positions from July 15 to August 5, 2024.
