Ajeet Chahal, Head of Commercial Key Accounts and Alternate Business Models for Bayer Pharmaceutics during the event said that Krishi Jagran is one of the first groups to honor the international year of the millets. He said, "I appreciate the initiative taken by the Krishi Jagran team and congratulate them for conducting the thoughtful event."

Talking of domestic millet production, he noted that weather uncertainty may be the cause of the delay in manual weeding and inter-cultivation. Therefore, a chemical weed management method can be used to manage pearl millet weed. In situations where labor is scarce or labor is highly expensive, chemical control or herbicide application is useful. Correct pesticide use will totally rid the crop of weeds, whereas manual or mechanical weeding can only be done once weeds have emerged.

Ajeet Chahal has more than 30 years of diversified experience in Agro - Input Industry (Agrochemicals and Seeds) in sales, marketing, strategic alliances & partnerships, key account management, and alternate business model functions across geographies in South Asia

As per the company's official website, "Bayer is a global enterprise with core competencies in the life science fields of healthcare and nutrition.
