An MBA graduate, Ajai Rana has built his expertise in multiple areas including sales, marketing, business development, product management, pricing specialist, start-up, and general management roles in his work experience with leading crop protection, seed, biotech, and life science firms in India as well as overseas.
He possesses a rich experience of recruiting talent, identifying business growth opportunities, and developing strategic plans and executing the plans. Rana is a passionate individual who is keen on introducing new technologies so that he could address every challenge posed before farming. He is the Founder of Savannah Seeds and takes care of operations in South Asia and Southeast Asian markets. He has led Savannah’s business from a stage when it was just a startup and has put his 100% contribution to building the company into one of the largest rice seed companies in the South Asia region.
Ajai has been actively engaged with the American Seed Trade Association’s (ASTA), National Seed Association of India (NSAI), Federation of Seed Industry of India (FSII) to develop IP, technology, extension, and policy-related strategies and stakeholders outreach programs. He has a vast network of key policymakers, academia, and business leaders.
