UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again targeted the opposition while honouring progressive farmers on the 118th birthday of Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.
He said that those who could not do anything for the farmers during their reign are not able to tolerate the prosperity of the farmers today. CM Yogi reiterated his resolve to continue working for the welfare of farmers, counting the works done by the Central and State Government in the interest of farmers.
On the occasion of Farmers Day in the capital Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said that the government is working with commitment in the interest of farmers. The government is emphasizing on reducing the cost of farmers and increasing productivity.
Tractors are being provided to the farmers of the state. Has pledged to establish 20 Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Krishi Vigyan Kendras have been connected through four agricultural universities of the state. Jhansi Central Agricultural University has started. The agricultural faculty of BHU has been associated with farmers. 89 Krishi Vigyan Kendras are working to double the income of farmers.
Former Prime Minister Late Various programs were held on Wednesday on the birthday of Chaudhary Charan Singh. The main event was celebrated near the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh in the Vidhan Bhavan and the Lok Bhavan. Progressive farmers were rewarded on the occasion. In the honour ceremony, Adityanath said that Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji used to say that the path of the prosperity of the country goes through the fields.
That is, India's progress will happen when the country's farmer is progressive. Prosperity will come to India when the farmer will be prosperous. Agricultural primacy is the basis of India's economy.
Adityanath said that adequate arrangements have also been made for farmers to get freedom from middlemen and moneylenders. Assistance is being provided to farmers through Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this, there is a system of sending six thousand per year to the account of each farmer. An amount of 54 thousand crore rupees and 18 thousand crore rupees is sent by the Prime Minister to the farmers' accounts under the Samman Nidhi every four months.
With this, the farmer meets his need for farming by purchasing fertilizer, seeds, agrochemicals on time. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Sugarcane Minister Suresh Rana were also present on the occasion.
Under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Gifts Scheme, 11 farmers were provided tractors by the Mandi Parishad. Director JP Singh informed that among the beneficiary farmers, Sonelal Village-Abdullapur Kanpur, Rajendra Prasad Village Dhanirampur, Kanpur Dehat, Shriram Village- Bhiteria, Kanpur Dehat, Pradeep Village-Bara Daulatpur Kanpur, Ramnath Village-Deva Patti District Kannauj, Ramsnehi-Village Dalelanagar Kannauj, Kavita Devi Village Sabaya Dhala District Maharajganj, Balkar Singh Village Sisier District Lakhimpur Kheri, Abhayraj Singh-Village Rara Hardoi, Chedi-Village Banakati District Siddharthnagar, Abbas-Village Vijwar Carpenter Siddharthnagar.
He said that in the Chief Minister Krishak Accident Assistance Scheme, Kamla Devi Village Khajuria District Farrukhabad, Sunita Devi Village Nagla Himat District Mainpuri and mother of deceased farmer Rambeti, besides brother Dalchand and two minor daughters Smile and Khushi were also assisted.
