The Medical Counselling Committee also known as MCC under the Directorate General of Health Services has begun the 1st round of counselling for admission to medical & dental courses across India today (19th June 2019). Interested students can apply at the official website - mcc.nic.in. It must be noted that the first round of counselling will held from 19 to 24 June.

Eligibility for NEET counselling 2019
Students who have successfully qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test are eligible to apply for the counselling. Candidates who have secured a minimum of 50% (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC & 45th percentage for general-physically handicapped) in NEET 2019 will be considered to have passed the exam.
How to apply for NEET counselling 2019?

Step 2 - Click on ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link
Step 3 – Then tap ‘new registration’
Step 4 - You will be redirected to a fresh page
Step 5 – Here enter all the required details and press submit
Step 7 – Do the fee payment
Also note that the registration link will be available from 19 June only.
NEET counselling 2019 Process
Eligible candidates first need to register for the main counselling & do the payment. After submission of fee they will have to select & lock their courses and colleges of preference.
Based on the choice of the student and his or her merit, they will get the seats. Students who reserve their seats by making payment in the prescribed time will be selected. After that, selected students need to appear at the centre with documents & qualify a fitness test. The final selected candidates will get admission while the remaining seats will be pushed for the 2nd round and so on. A list of available/empty seats will be published & fresh choice submission, counselling will take place.

EWS quota
From this year onwards, the newly introduced, economically weaker section or EWS quota will be applicable for NEET UG admissions. The NTA had notified that the counselling authorities will identify, the institutions giving EWS quota & conduct counselling for these seats as a separate category.
