Before the Sunday at 2:30 pm destruction of the Supertech Twin Towers in Noida, almost 5,000 residents of the Emerald Court and ATS Village communities were compelled to evacuate. Dogs were also rescued from the location by NGOs. The Parsvnath Prestige Residential Complex in Sector 93 has offered the tenants temporary housing.
Between 2.15 and 2.45 p.m., the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway would be closed for the demolition drive. Drones are not permitted to fly in the area above the city. According to Noida Authority, during the demolition period, planes will also temporarily be prohibited from the air space within a one-nautical mile radius of the explosion.
The Ceyane (29 floors) and Apex (32 floors) towers, which are a part of Supertech Ltd's Emerald Court project, were found to be in violation of many building regulations. They will be destroyed by a process known as a "controlled implosion," in which the structure will fall after explosives have been placed carefully and set off, causing as little harm as possible to the surrounding area. The two skyscrapers have been loaded with about 3,700 kg of explosives.
The final steps that the police and demolition crew will take before the detonation is slated to occur at 2:30 pm were described by Rajesh S, DCP, Central Noida, on Sunday.
The Incident Command Centre, a mobile unit with seven CCTV cameras installed, would be used by the Noida Police to keep an eye on the region.
Rajesh S stated, "We have two traffic police officers who are observing the traffic and providing live reports concerning the traffic diversions and congestion locations. He continued, "This will help in the evacuation zone."
Five incident sub-commanders will use radio communication to get in touch with the DCP.
"At 2:30 demolition will happen. Before that, I will take the okay signal from all incident sub-commanders. We will be monitoring the demolition through CCTV cameras," DCP Rajesh said.
Six people will check the area before the demolition and signal "Okay" if all is well.
"There is an initiation point that is around 100-120 meters from the twin towers, and I will be there. Once I take the signal from the incident sub-commanders, I will alert the blast team, and then the Countdown will start," he stated.
