NSE IFSC Limited is inviting applications for the positions of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique nation-building opportunity to build and lead an international multi-asset derivatives exchange that will position GIFT City- IFSC as India’s premier International Financial Services Center and a gateway for global financial flows.

Job Position: Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Age Limit- The candidate should be under 60 years of age as of the date of application.

Location: The job location is based in IFSC, GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat (India)

Job Responsibilities:

The MD and CEO shall work with the Governing Board to build a globally competitive international exchange. He/she will be responsible for business building, governance and institution building, and market development.

He/she will establish and execute a sustainable, practical, realistic strategic direction for the organization on key growth pillars viz. Products, Operations, Technology, Marketing Participants, Trading Members, Regulatory Compliance, Awareness building, People and Culture.

He/she shall build and lead an ethical, high-performing, values-driven organization, and a culturally coherent team.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

20+ years of experience; should have worked in leadership/ senior management roles in the broader financial services sector, with a demonstrated track record of success

Strong understanding of global trends and developments related to Capital/Securities/Financial markets and fair exposure to working in a regulated environment

Demonstrated ability in market development and institution- building, and Track record of strict adherence to compliance standards

Result-oriented leader, persuasive and passionate communicator with the ability to engage and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Note- Candidates shall have to fulfill the eligibility requirements under the Companies Act 2013 and International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) (Market Infrastructure Instituting) Regulations 2021.

Selection Process:

The selection, appointment, terms and conditions, and remuneration shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of NSE IFSC, and IFSCA; the final decision will be binding. The appointment shall be for a maximum period of 5 years and the candidate can be reappointed in accordance with the regulations laid down by IFSCA.

The applications will be shortlisted by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) of the Board of NSE IFSC. The NRC, after following the due process, will recommend the name(s) to the Board of NSE IFSC for appropriation decision. The decision of the Board on the selection will be submitted to the shareholders for approval and further to IFSCA for final approval.
