The government released the last installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi popularly known as PM Kisan in October and now farmers are eagerly waiting for the 13th instalment. In order to avail payment, the government has asked all the beneficiaries to complete the e-KYC verification.
The Agriculture Department of Bihar in tweet said that PM Kisan beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC verification by Saturday (January 28, 2023) if they want the 13th instalment without any delay.
The PM Kisan official website says that ‘eKYC is mandatory for beneficiaries’. The website also says that “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or the nearest CSC centres can be contacted for biometric-based eKYC.”
The Bihar Agriculture department tweeted that “All beneficiaries of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi have been advised that e-KYC verification is compulsory before the upcoming 13th instalment. Around 16.74 lakh beneficiaries in Bihar have not completed their e-KYC verification.”
It further said the DBT agriculture department has also informed the beneficiaries via SMS that they must complete e-KYC before 28 January 2023 in order to get the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
The department said that farmers can complete the e-KYC online through PM Kisan website and offline by reaching out to the nearest common service center (CSC). All they need to do is provide the necessary details like Aadhaar number and get the work done. Below we have given the complete process to update e-KYC online.
OTP-based e-KYC Verification process

Firstly, go to the PM Kisan official website

On the farmers corner section click on e-KYC tab

A new page will open where you need to enter your Aadhaar number & click on search.

Enter the mobile number linked with Aadhaar card.

Now click on Get OTP.

Enter 4-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Once OTP is verified and all the details are matched, - e-KYC process will be completed.
PM Kisan 13th Installment to be Released Next Week
As per sources, the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is likely to be released before the Union Budget 2023 is announced.
