A government official told media that the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will have to get their bank account e-KYC verified by the end of this week.
Meghraj Singh Ratnu, officer-in-charge of the scheme in Rajasthan said that it has been made compulsory for the farmers taking benefit of PM Kisan Scheme to update e-KYC, link bank account with Aadhaar and direct benefit transfer to bank account for the upcoming installment transfer before February 10, 2023.
The official further said that instructions regarding the same have been given by the Central Government.
Ratnu in a statement said that till January 2023, 67% e-KYC was complete and 88% bank accounts of beneficiaries have been linked to Aadhaar in the state. However, around 24.45 lakh beneficiaries have not yet completed e-KYC and 1.94 lakh farmers are yet to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar.
He further said that the beneficiaries who have not yet updated their e-KYC done or have linked their bank account with Aadhaar must get it done by February 10. For this, India Post Payments Bank has been authorized.
How to Link Bank Account with Aadhaar
Go to the bank where you have your PM Kisan account.
Submit all the relevant documents including Aadhaar card etc. to the bank official.
The official after checking all the documents will process PM Kisan -Aadhaar bank account linking.
Once the verification is successfully completed, you will get a message on your registered mobile number.
13th Installment to be Released on This Date
As per several media reports, the 13th installment will be disbursed most probably before February 24, however government has not yet revealed the release date.
PM Kisan Yojana, is one of the most popular schemes of Central Government for the farmers. Under the scheme, it provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to more than 10 crore farmers throughout the country in three equal installments.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 12th installment on October 17 last year. Around 8 million farmers received more than Rs 16,000 crore in their bank accounts.
