The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is set to inaugurate a two-day Scientific Convention tomorrow at the Yashobhoomi Conventional Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi. Organized by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), an autonomous apex research organization under the Ministry of Ayush, the convention marks the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day.
Under the theme "Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency: A Homoeopathic Symposium," the convention aims to advance evidence-based scientific treatment in clinical practice and health programs. It seeks to equip the homoeopathic community with research-based therapeutics, aiming to meet the population's needs for personalized, safe, and credible healthcare. Additionally, the convention aims to enhance homoeopathic medicine with quality diagnostics, therapeutics, and scientific tools for improved patient outcomes.
The inaugural ceremony will include a session titled ‘Words of Wisdom,’ featuring felicitations of 08 Padma Awardees. Moreover, 17 CCRH publications will be released during the event, including volumes on Homoeopathic Drug Proving, Drug Monograph - Rauwolfia, and Keynotes of Homoeopathic Materia Medica, among others. These publications are expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of homoeopathic research and practice.
Subsequent sessions will feature talks and panel discussions on various topics, including empowering homoeopathy, modern perspectives, clinicians' insights, and advancing practice. Renowned figures such as Dr. V.K. Gupta, Sh. B.K Singh, Dr. Sangeeta A. Duggal, Dr. Raj K. Manchanda, Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, and Dr. LK Nanda will provide valuable inputs during these sessions.
The convention will also include sessions on Translational Research, Evidence Base, Epidemic and Public health, Homoeopathic Drug Standardization, Interdisciplinary Research, Global Perspectives, and more. With participation from leading scientists from various biomedical fields, the event promises to be a hub of knowledge exchange and learning.
Featuring around 80 poster presentations and 30 exhibition stalls showcasing pharmaceutical and other firms, the convention offers attendees ample opportunities for networking and gaining insights into the latest developments in homoeopathy.
High-profile dignitaries such as Secretary Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Dr. Anil Khurana, Dr. Nandini Kumar, Dr. Pinakin N Trivedi, Dr. Janardanan Nair, and Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain are expected to grace the occasion. Delegates from various countries including the Netherlands, Spain, Colombia, Canada, and Bangladesh will also be in attendance, further enriching the convention with diverse perspectives and experiences.
