Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), an Indian cooperative society that manufactures fertilizer and Asia’s premier fertilizer giant has conducted a Special General Body Meeting on January 9, 2020, at NCUI Auditorium, New Delhi to elect nine directors including the Chairman. Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, MP, Rajya Sabha, a well-known Cooperator, and a dynamic farmer leader has been unanimously re-elected as the Chairman of KRIBHCO in the meeting of the reconstituted Board of Directors of the Society. Dr. Singh has been the Chairman from July 1999 to May 2010 & thereafter from February 2015 to till date.
As per reports, the reconstituted Board consists of 8 unanimously elected Directors including Dr. Chandra Pal Singh from two constituencies along with Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Dr. Bijendra Singh, Sh. R. Rajendra, Sh. Paresh Bhai Patel, Sh. Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and Shri. V. Sudhakar Chowdary. There was an election between Sh. Vaghjibhai Rugnathbhai Boda and Sh. Maganlal Dhanjibhai Vadaviya from Gujarat. Sh Maganlal Dhanjibhai Vadaviya was declared elected.
Sudhakar Chowdary, a leading Cooperator and a versatile farmer’s leader, has been unanimously elected as Vice-Chairman of the Society.
About Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav
Hailing from a village near Jhansi, Dr. Chandra Pal Singh is the son of a freedom fighter Late Sh. Thakur Prasad Yadav. The 61-year-old politician came into limelight as a student leader in 1981, when he became President of Bundelkhand College, Jhansi. The popular Kisan leader was elected as MLA in the UP Assembly in 1996. In the 13th Lok Sabha election held in 2004, Dr. Singh was elected from Jhansi and became Member of Parliament.
“I am honored that I have been elected as KRIBHCO’s Chairman again. It is my belief that we will accomplish our desired set of goals in the next five years. I would like to congratulate all the elected directors and look forward to working with them for KRIBHCO’s growth and development”, said Dr. Chandra Pal Singh.
During an interaction with Krishi Jagran, the newly elected Chairman said, “Farmers should go for balanced use of fertilizer which is beneficial for nature and for farmers as well.” Hence, he urged the farmers to choose bio-fertilizer.
Moreover, the M.Sc., Ph.D., B.Ed. and L.L.B. holder politician started his career as a college lecturer in 1984 and later elected Chairman of the U.P. Cooperative Marketing Federation (PCF) and Bundelkhand Vikas Nigam.
