In Uttar Pradesh, the state government plans to make DigiLocker accessible to 3.6 crore ration cardholders in the near future. According to a government spokesman, the facility will allow state ration card holders to easily access rations across the country under the 'One Nation One Card' system.

The supply of DigiLocker to ration card holders was mentioned in the department of information technology's 100-day action plan, and action has already been taken in this regard.

The DigiLocker facility will not only make rationing more accessible to people, but it will also prohibit dealers from engaging in unethical behavior. Furthermore, ration card holders will not have to worry about their cards being lost or damaged. Beneficiaries' ration collection will be digitally recorded on the ration card.
