Industry leaders, ranchers, political authorities and employees of the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ) met for the diplomatic ceremony of Rivaldo Machado Borges Júnior as president of ABCZ for the 2020- 2022. The ceremony, which took place at the Rômulo Kardec de Camargos Event Center, in Uberaba (MG), brought together more than 800 guests.
“Without a doubt, it is a reason for great joy to count, in this ceremony, with so many important people for our sector. Much more than a prestige, this presence represents support for the work we intend to develop. The challenge will not be small. I know it! But being able to count on so many well-intentioned people and concerned with the development of improving livestock, I'm sure it will be easier”, celebrates Rivaldo Jr.
The ceremony was opened with the registration of manifestations sent by political authorities who were unable to attend the event, including one by the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro . A video sent by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), Tereza Cristina , and the Executive Secretary of the Map, Marcos Montes, were also shown., who justified the absence at the event due to other official commitments, in addition to congratulating the new president of ABCZ. “Success in this new challenge that you will face in this very famous and important Association for Brazilian livestock, which is ABCZ. A big hug! ”Said the Minister. “I am sure of your success! You have already proved that you are a great manager, as president of the Union of Rural Producers of Uberaba, as a businessman and also as a family man, and I am sure that ABCZ will thank you very much for the work you will do. And, we, are here, available. We are ready to join ABCZ, this very important institution that is so proud of our Uberaba, ”added Montes.
In an emotional testimony, Rivaldo Jr. thanked the sector for the opportunity and confidence, and highlighted the historical and family relationship he has with ABCZ. He also highlighted the points that will be priorities in management. “We want an ABCZ with full strength in the field. And, for that, we need to speak more intensely and vigorously about the problems we face and demand that solutions be presented. Brazilian agribusiness supports this country and needs to be seen and heard as it deserves. We will defend all rural producers: small, medium and large. We will defend our entire production chain. And, for that, we want to join forces with all representative entities and public bodies ”, he highlighted.
The current president of ABCZ, Arnaldo Manuel de Souza Machado Borges , made the final statement. During the speech, in addition to presenting a brief assessment of the progress made in the 2016-2019 management, Arnaldo Manuel thanked all members of the current board of directors, counselors and managers from all departments of the entity.
