The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is gearing up to celebrate 'Udyami Bharat-MSME Day' on June 27, 2023, coinciding with International MSME Day. The event will take place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi and aims to highlight the crucial role of MSMEs in the Indian economy.

The celebration will witness the launch of several initiatives by the Ministry of MSME to foster the growth and development of MSMEs across the country.
One of the key initiatives is the unveiling of the CHAMPIONS 2.0 Portal and Mobile App, which will provide comprehensive support and assistance to MSMEs. Additionally, a Geo-tagging feature for Cluster Projects and Technology Centers will also be introduced, enabling better monitoring and evaluation of these crucial initiatives.
A highlight of the event will be the declaration of the results of the 'MSME Idea Hackathon 2.0'. This innovation-driven competition encourages entrepreneurs to present groundbreaking ideas for the MSME sector. Simultaneously, the Ministry will announce the launch of the 'MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0' exclusively for Women Entrepreneurs, aiming to promote their active participation in the MSME ecosystem.
Recognizing and rewarding excellence, the ceremony will feature the distribution of certificates to Gold and Silver ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) certified MSMEs. These certifications acknowledge the high-quality standards and sustainable practices adopted by deserving enterprises. Furthermore, the Ministry will facilitate the digital transfer of Rs. 400 crore as Margin Money subsidy to 10,075 beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), enabling them to kickstart their entrepreneurial ventures.
To enhance collaboration and cooperation, the event will also witness the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between various government organizations. These partnerships aim to leverage synergies and create a conducive ecosystem for the growth and success of MSMEs in the country.
The Ministry of MSME is dedicated to improving the business environment for MSMEs by encouraging innovation, developing new products and services, and promoting regional development while reducing regional disparities. Additionally, it aims to create market opportunities for MSMEs in both domestic and global markets and foster the adoption of sustainable practices.
