India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a dynamic weather condition in the coming days, driven by multiple Western Disturbances. From rain and snowfall in the northern hills to dense fog gripping the plains and fluctuating temperatures across regions, the country is set to experience varied weather patterns. Here's what to expect across India, including Delhi/NCR, where light rain and foggy mornings will dominate the forecast.

A series of weather systems, including Western Disturbances and associated cyclonic circulations, are influencing conditions across North and Central India. Here are the details 

Temperature Forecast

A moderate shift in temperatures is expected across different regions of India. In Northwest and Central India, minimum temperatures are likely to rise gradually by 2°C over the next 48 hours, followed by a drop of 2–3°C. In the Gujarat region, no significant change in temperatures is anticipated for the next 24 hours, but a gradual fall of 2–3°C is expected thereafter. For the rest of the country, no significant temperature changes are predicted.

Fog Warnings

Dense to very dense fog will impact various regions during the night and early morning hours.

Himachal Pradesh may experience cold day conditions in a few parts on 23rd January.

Delhi/NCR Weather Forecast 

Delhi and NCR will experience mixed weather in the coming days. Light rain and thunderstorms may occur on January 22 and 23, along with dense morning fog and hazy evenings. Gradually decreasing wind speeds will contribute to a wintry feel and may impact visibility during early mornings and late nights.

Residents in fog-prone regions are advised to exercise caution during early morning and night hours due to reduced visibility. Farmers in affected regions should prepare for scattered rainfall, which may benefit some crops.
