Celebrating 25 years of engagement in India, Deakin University, Australia in association with Teri-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre, Gurugram and the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India is organizing an International workshop on ‘Disruptive Translational Research in Nano- biotechnology : Advancing Sustainable Food Systems and Human Health Soultions” scheduled to be held on March 13th at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Considering the importance of Translational Research during last several years at national and international levels, this workshop will focus upon the areas from pre-translational to translational application. Food, agriculture, environment, and healthcare professionals from industry, academia, government, research organizations and technology providers are invited to attend the workshop.
The one- day workshop shall have various sessions.
Session one shall be on Smart Nano Systems and Devices for Translational Research , chaired by Professor V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi.
Session two titled Nano medicines: Towards Translational Research, will be chaired by Professor Krishna N Ganesh, IISER, Tirupati.
Session three shall be on Agriculture, Environment and Regulation: New Horizons for Translational Research and shall be chaired by Professor Y.K Gupta, Head of Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Session four shall address Advancing and escalating Translational Research by enabling collaborations, chaired by Professor Julie Owens, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Deakin University.
There shall be around 5-7 panelists in all the sessions along with keynote speakers. The objectives of the workshop are highlighting new nano-technologies used in agriculture and the food supply chain, environmental science, health and biomedical research and providing a platform to discuss and enhance multi stakeholder partnerships in the advancement of new technologies and their application.
