This Andhra Farmer is Helping Poor Engineering & Medical Students from Farming Background

The veteran farmer has earned praise from residents of Proddatur and other villages for lending a hand to underprivileged engineering and medical students. 73-year-old Murukuti Suryanarayana Reddy, a native of Kasinayana Mandal’s Savisettipalli village, has been serving the community for the past 30 years.

The veteran farmer has earned praise from residents of Proddatur and other villages for lending a hand to underprivileged engineering and medical students. 73-year-old Murukuti Suryanarayana Reddy, a native of Kasinayana Mandal’s Savisettipalli village, has been serving the community for the past 30 years.

Currently, Suryanarayana resides in the Chapadu Mandal village of Chinna Guruvaluru. His two sons are. Both of them work in the gold industry, with one being a software developer. Suryanarayana had begun engaging in social service endeavors, drawing motivation from his parents. He founded the Murukuti Suryanarayana Reddy Seva Trust in 2008 to carry out charitable work.

As part of his volunteer work, he used to benevolently provide money for the improvement of struggling farmers. He has given books to 70 pupils attending public schools in the districts of Kadapa and Prakasam's Mydukur, Porumamilla, Kasi Nayana, and Giddalur. In 2008–2009, he also presided over the Rotary Club of Proddatur.

He has been funding the education of five engineering and four medical students in the Chapadu Mandal villages of Alladupalli, Sitaramapuram, and Sri Ramulupeta. One of the girls he funded is now working in the US and has been giving the Suryanarayana Reddy Trust money.

Along with assisting farmers in effectively using the different welfare schemes for their economic uplift, he has also played a significant role in the organization of veterinary medical camps in villages. Suryanarayana has received an honorary doctorate from Asia Vedic Culture Research University in recognition of his charitable work.
