    The Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) organised the 6th Annual General Meeting 2023 to discuss on the subject of "Making India the Manufacturing and Export Hub of Agrochemicals" on Wednesday, September 06, 2023. Prof. Ramesh Chand, a Member of Niti Ayog, started the session by explaining the importance of the agro-chemical industry. Harish Damodaran, a senior journalist who covers agriculture and helping the government in policy-making, said, "I am not a economist but if we look at factors of production and technology then we can make a difference in terms of nutritions and feeding India - if fertilizer industry, agrochemical, and seed work together"

  • Prices of Vegetables and Pulses Stoke Retail Inflation: President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry

    A rise in the prices of vegetables, cereals, pulses, and spices due to supply disruptions caused by abnormal monsoon behaviour in many parts of the country stoked retail inflation. The vegetable inflation rate increased from -0.93% in June 2023 to 37.34% in July 2023. Inflation Rates of Pulses, Cereals, and Spices Following are the increase in inflation rates of pulses, cereals, and spices as observed by Saket Dalmia, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The inflation rate of pulses and products increased from 10.53% in June 2023 to 13.27% in July 2023 The inflation rate of cereals and products increased from 12.71% in June 2023 to 13.04% in July 2023

    The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in cooperation with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), has introduced the G20 Tourism and SDG Dashboard. The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and DONER, G. Kishan Reddy, unveiled this dashboard during a virtual ceremony. It symbolizes India's commitment to global cooperation and sustainable tourism growth. This comprehensive online platform consolidates knowledge from the G20 Tourism Working Group, offering the GOA Roadmap, survey results, case studies, and best practices. It serves as a hub for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and promoting industry growth in sustainable tourism.
