Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah Addresses National Symposium on Promotion of Organic Produce
In a significant event on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah addressed the National Symposium on the Promotion of Organic Produce. The symposium was organized by the National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) and held at the ICAR Convention Centre in Pusa, New Delhi. During this one-day symposium, Amit Shah also launched the logo, website, and brochure of NCOL, in addition to distributing membership certificates to NCOL members. The discussions at the symposium centered on the objectives of NCOL and the importance of organic produce.

Savitribai Phule Pune University to Begin Organic Farming Course Under Earn and Learn Scheme With Better Remuneration
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has introduced a course on organic farming under the earn-and-learn scheme, with an increased remuneration of Rs 55000 to 5 Lakh. India's population is predominantly rural, and there's a noticeable divide between rural and urban regions. This initiative aims to specifically benefit economically disadvantaged, bright, and accomplished students from rural areas who otherwise couldn't afford higher education due to financial constraints. It emphasizes the notion that no job is too small or insignificant and aims to instill a strong work ethic in students.

Fish Farming Training Programme in Arunachal Pradesh
A three-day non-residential training program titled 'Scientific Practices in Fish Farming for Enhancing Fish Production in Arunachal Pradesh' was conducted in Nongkhan village, Namsai district, with the participation of 25 members of the Phaphu Fishermen Producer Company (FPC), fisheries department officials, and progressive fish farmers. The program, held by the National Fisheries Development Board's Northeast Regional Centre (NERC) in Guwahati, Assam, featured experts from NERC and Joyshil Taba, the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Itanagar. The primary objective of this training initiative was to share the most up-to-date knowledge and advancements in aquaculture technology and practices tailored to the local conditions, aiming to boost fish and fish seed production in the state.

The inauguration of this unique art exhibition took place on November 3, 2023, and was an exceptional affair, graced by the presence of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. During her address, the President stressed the urgency of adopting a comprehensive and united approach to combat climate change.

Dhanuka Agritech Q2 net profit rises 39.4% YOY to Rs. 101.77cr
Dhanuka Agritech -- one of the leading agri input companies in India – today announced financial results for the second quarter of FY 2023-24. Gurugram-headquartered company clocked Rs. 101.77 crore profit during the July-September quarter of FY'24, up 39.4% from the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Commenting on the Q2 performance, Mr. M K Dhanuka, Managing Director, Dhanuka Agritech said: The company did reasonably well during challenging times amid erratic rainfall, falling prices, and subdued export demand. The uneven rainfall in the country also impacted our revenue and bottom line. We are cautiously optimistic about the demand in the remaining part of the fiscal year amid El Nino conditions and global inventory in the agrochemicals.
