  • ANGRAU Incubator to Help ‘Agripreneurs’ in Launching New Businesses

    The Agri Business Incubator of the Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) located at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Tirupati, invites applications from the 5th cohort of aspiring 'Agripreneurs' looking to launch agri-startups with innovative ideas. More than 160 entrepreneurs have been supported by the incubator Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Yojana- Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RKVY- RAFTAAR), which has already completed four cohorts and received a sanctioned grant of Rs 2.88 crore.

    India’s largest Fertilizer manufacturing organization, IFFCO, signed an MOU with leading Drone Training player, Drone Destination to provide DGCA-certified drone pilot training and application of drones in various farming activities to increase productivity and income to farmers. To provide an efficient and affordable spraying solution to farmers, the training curriculum will also include specialized training on the application of Nano Urea, Sagarika, and other agrochemicals.

  • “The Rythu Bharosa Kendras Must Be Equipped with Drones”: CM Jagan Reddy

    To help farmers in choosing the most suitable crops to cultivate along with the quantity and quality of fertilizers to be used in it, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed agricultural department officials to equip all Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) in the state with soil testing equipment by March 2023. The Chief Minister told the officials that soil testing will significantly help to preserve soil fertility while lowering input costs and raising productivity during the agricultural department's review meeting on Monday. Soil testing tools should be available in every RBK.

  • 'AgroWorld 2022' Kickstarts Today at Pusa, New Delhi

    With an objective to address key global challenges, technology, and investment in today's agricultural world, the AgroWorld 2022 organized by the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture kickstarted on Wednesday. Minister of State for Rural Development, Faggan Singh Kulaste inaugurated the summit organized at the sprawling campus of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. The summit began with the welcome address by ICAR chairman Dr MJ Khan, followed by the lightning of the inaugural lamp by state minister Kulaste, joined in by other dignitaries including Dr. AK Singh, deputy DG of Horticulture at ICAR, Maharaj Muthoo, the President of Roman Forum among others.
