  • 6.41 LMT of pulses procured under MSP this year

    6.41 LMT of pulses (Moong, Urad, Masoor and others) have been procured under MSP, benefitting almost 4 Lakh farmers. This period includes the last Kharif and Rabi season.

  • Oxygen can be carried across states Toll Free

    National Highways Authority has announced that all vehicles carrying LMO (Liquid Modified Oxygen) are exempt from Toll fee. This will encourage transfer of LMO across the country efficiently and smoothly. Indian Railways on the other hand has transported almost 4200 MT of LMO across the country.

  • Corn producer's shares fall in USA

    As the price of corn goes up, its demand as animal feed is reducing, leading to drop in the share values of Corn producing companies.

  • Egypt needs vegetable oil

    Egyptian General Authority for supply of commodities, has announced that it needs several thousand tonnes of vegetable oil. The traders can bid for how much they can supply and at what cost.

  • Uttarakhand, parts of Maharashtra and parts of Bihar to see heavy rainfall

    Entire Uttarakhand, parts of Maharashtra (Kolhapur, Solapur, Satara etc) and parts of Bihar (Patna, Nalanda etc) will face heavy rainfall with thunderstorm today.

  • Almost 18 crore vaccines distributed to States

    Central government has distributed 17.93 crore vaccines to the States, out of which 16.89 crore have been used up. The states still have 1.04 crore vaccines with them and more will be supplied.

  • SC to hear case against protesting farmers in Corona

    Supreme court is to hear a case against the protesting farmers. The case is for the protests to be banned till the Corona pandemic is over as the protestors are putting themselves and others at a great risk.

  • IPL over in India

    IPL will not be continued, atleast in India, due to the Corona situation. It may be played abroad, however as a number of players are in quarantine, whether it will resume is difficult to say.

  • Government to invest more in horticulture sector scheme

    MIDH (Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture) scheme, which has been in effect from 2014-15, will be funded with INR 2250 Crore for the year 2021-22. Horticulture sector has done very well in the last 6 years, hence the funding for even more improvement
