  • PM Narendra Modi inaugurates International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022 in Greater Noida today

    It’s a big day for the dairy sector as PM Narendra Modi inaugurated International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022 in Greater Noida today. It’s almost after 48 years the Summit is back in India. Also presented on the stage with PM Modi, was UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala along with IDF President Piercristaino Brazalle and IDF DG, Caroline Emond. Mr Rupala welcomed PM Modi and said the government, under the leadership of PM Modi, has launched many schemes for the dairy sector, specifically mentioning the Govardhan Yojana. PM Modi addressed the media and dignitaries from across the globe, including International Federation of Agriculture Journalists President Lena Johansson. He said that there’s no middleman in the whole process of dairy farming, and more than 70 percent of the money received from the customers goes into the pockets of the farmers. No other country has this much ratio. Yogi Adityanath taking it further said our government, under PM Modi's guidance, will do all it can to help our farmers grow in times to come. He also welcomed all intl dignitaries and promised them to make their stay successful. The event will unfold a lot more till Sept 15.

  • India Bans Broken Rice Export

    India, the world’s largest exporter of rice, has banned exports of broken rice, amid a 6 percent reduction in paddy acreage in the ongoing Kharif season and increase in rice prices. It has also imposed a 20 percent duty on exports of various grades of rice, except basmati.

  • Nitin Gadkari Advices Farmers To Form Their Own Companies For Marketing

    While speaking at an outreach program organized by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority. Union minister Nitin Gadkari advised farmers to form their own companies for marketing and exporting agricultural produce, and not be dependent on the government. The minister said the government can step in where they cannot solve a problem.

  • Farmers In Punjab To Get Super Seeder, Happy Seeder & Zero Drill Machines

    Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Punjab's agriculture minister said that farmers will receive 56,000 machines for controlling paddy stubble and the state government would take all necessary steps to prevent stubble burning during the upcoming paddy harvesting season. The agriculture department would distribute 56,000 machines under the in-situ management of the stubble scheme this season, bringing the total number of units to 1,46,422.

  • SGS Expands GLP Testing Capabilities On Polymers

    SGS announced the successful expansion of good laboratory practices (GLP)-compliant product chemistry and physical-chemical testing capabilities for polymers at its laboratory in Hürth, Germany.
