  • Corona fighter vaccine banned for export

    Remdesivir and Remdesivir Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) are used in treatment of Corona suffering patients. There are over 1.1 million active cases at the moment and the requirement of the above mentioned vaccine, to treat these, has forced the government to ban the export of these. Apart from this hoarding and black marketeering will be checked by Drugs Inspectors. Government is encouraging increase in production of these and the manufacturing companies have been ordered to clearly list the availability of these vaccines on their website along with where these can be purchased from.

  • Fertilizer availability ensured for Kharif season

    The government has taken steps to ensure adequate availability of fertilizers during the Kharif season this year, as it was readily available in the previous seasons due to government's efforts. Their production and supply details have been discussed by the government with the manufacturing companies.

  • Sugar mills request for higher MSP

    With the increasing production of sugar, the price of sugar is getting lower. The sugar producers are asking for MSP to be raised, so that they can break even in their finances. The biggest cost these mills have to pay is to their sugarcane suppliers.

  • Saudi Arabia and UAE are to invest $3 billion in Sudan

    Saudi Arabia and UAE have paid $750 million out of the promised $3 billion investment in Sudan. Out of these $400 million have been earmarked for agriculture sector.

  • ICAR's small team of scientists awarded

    A group of ICAR scientists went to Leh and held a number of training sessions and a mela about agroeconomy and best practices. They have toured a number of rural sites across Leh to teach  what they know. This group has been awarded by Agriculture Today for the excellent work that they have done in improving the life of the rural communities in Leh. This award will encourage more persons to take up such educating expeditions to rural communities across India.

  • Tika Utsav on 2nd day

    On the 86th day of vaccinations, 1st day of Tika Utsav, almost 30 Lakh vaccines were administered. Vaccinations are ongoing on 2nd day of the Tika Utsav.  So far, 10.45 Crore individuals have been vaccinated against Corona in India.

  • Heat wave conditions observed over Gujarat today

    Heat wave conditions have been observed over Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat as the  coastal regions of southwestern states of India are expecting rainfall and speedy winds.

  • Multiple festivals to start with Navaratri tomorrow

    Festivals including Ramadan, Haridwar Kumbh, Gudi Padwa, Baisakhim Ugadi and Chaitra Navaratri to be celebrated across India in next two days.

  • Tikait says Government not cooperating with farmers

    Farmers agitation spokesperson Tikait has claimed that when we propose for talks the Government  makes Corona an excuse, however the elections are being held and nobody is mentioning Corona there.
