  • UK mourns death of prince Philip

    Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth of UK has passed away yesterday. The entire nation is in mourning for this public figure and gun salutes have been planned to mark his death. He was 99 years old.

  • Closed borders between India and Myanmar cause of problems for locals

    Before Corona residents of both countries were allowed to move a few kilometers into each other's territory and this was mostly for economic activities. The Corona virus pandemic forced these borders to be closed. This has led to economic stagnation. Now violence in Myanmar is forcing its citizens to seek shelter in India. Although the corona forced these borders to be closed, the locals at the borders are welcoming these people trying to escape violence in their country.

  • Farming area increases across India

    Due to regular rains and rise in groundwater levels more land cross India has become fertile enough to grow crops. There is plenty of moisture in the soil and the reservoirs have plenty of water. A bumper harvest is expected in this crop cycle.

  • Weather conditions affect growth of lichies in Bihar

    Temperatures having increased more than what is required for good growth of lichies, has resulted in less fruits growing, hence affecting the quantity of the final harvest. Lichies production suffered last year too and continuous crop failures will hurt the finances of the farmers.

  • Highways again blocked by protestors

    Major highways in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have been blocked by the protesting farmers. This is a again a nuisance for the travelers as they will not be able to use these common routes.

    5% of fuels in USA are biofuels. These depend on raw materials which come from plants or animals. All these companies want to increase production but the raw materials that they need are not growing at the necessary speed. These fuels are produced through non-polluting methods and their use is mostly pollution free.

    Sikkim and Tripura are planning to have 100 percent tap connections in rural areas by 2022 and 2023 respectively. All the drinking water sources will be tested for purity and quality. These connections will improve the quality of life of rural women who have to bring water from great distances.

    Corn stocks are depleting across USA due to increasing demand from animal feed, ethanol and exports sector. Companies within USA want corn and foreign countries want US Corn, leading to reduction in the quantity of available corn.

  • Sachin Tendulkar returns home and rests in isolation

    Sachin Tendulkar, the famous cricketer, has returned to his home after spending almost a week at hospital, admitted for Corona. He has been allowed to return home as his condition has improved.  However he is to stay in isolation till he recovers completely and is not a danger to anyone.

  • Fourth Corona wave forces Iran into 10 days of lockdown

    Iran has imposed a nationwide lockdown for 10 days, as a fourth wave of Corona has attacked the country. Iran has had nearly 2 million cases and death of over 60,000 citizens.

  • New Zealand bans Indian travelers

    Indians are banned from travelling to New Zealand due to Corona fears. This ban will come into effect from tomorrow and will last 2 weeks. This ban is on Indians and New Zealanders travelling to New Zealand from India.
