  • Rain in Delhi and NCR to Continue for Next Few Days

    According to weather office, Delhi-NCR will continue to receive heavy rainfall for the next 2 days i.e. on Friday and Saturday. National capital witnessed continuous showers since last night bringing much needed relief from humidity for Delhiites. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the western part of the monsoon trough has moved to the north of its normal position and is expected to remain there during the next 48 hours.

  • Agricultural processing industries seek financial help to tide over Global Pandemic

    Agricultural processing industries such as dairy and sugar have begun demanding fiscal incentives to deal with the pandemic induced glut & losses. As per reports, textile industry has asked for an extension of moratorium on term loan repayment by another 6 months from 1st September to 31st March. Industry estimates says in the first quarter of FY2020-21, Indian knitwear exports dropped a whopping 60.54 percent to Rs 5355 crore from Rs 13,570 crore a year ago.

  • Good Monsoon raises hopes of Bumper Kharif Harvest

    With good rainfall in the month of August, India is expected to harvest a record kharif crop if the rest of the monsoon season also goes well. Till 7th August, the overall area under kharif crops was 10 percent higher year-on-year, driven by factors like early arrival of monsoon, reverse migration of labour & high minimum support price (MSP) for some crops. In addition, good temporal & spatial distribution of rainfall supported crop growth.

  • West Bengal Govt. Issues Fresh Schedule for Coronavirus lockdown in August

    West Bengal on 12th August 2020 issued a new list for the biweekly lockdown in the state. Earlier, the state government had announced complete lockdown in West Bengal for two days every week till the end of this month. To stop the spread of Covid-19 in the state, Mamata Banerjee government implemented partial lockdown since July.
