  • IMD Predicts Snowfall, Rainfall in These States during the Next 5 Days

    On 15th December (Wednesday), the India Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains in some states during the next 5 days. It has also predicted snowfall in states of Himachal & Uttarakhand till 17th December. In its latest update, the weather department said that the light to moderate rainfall, snowfall at the isolated places are likely over the Jammu Kashmir- Ladakh-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad & Himachal Pradesh during the next 3 days & over Uttarakhand during 16th & 17th December.

  • FCI Bid out Silos at 249 Locations with 108 Lakh MT Capacity

    To revamp India’s wheat storage infrastructure & reduce overall wastage, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) will soon start bidding 249 storage silos at 249 locations. The government is likely to relax the Make in India clause for Rs 12000 crore wheat storage projects, which will be done through the public-private partnership. The bidding of the silos at 249 locations, which was earlier to be done in one go, will now, is done in 3 phases, a senior government official said in a statement.

     

  • Indian Lenders Reduces Funding For Coal Project

    The Indian lenders channeled more funds to the clean energy projects compared to the coal-based ones for third straight year in 2020, with more expected to flow into renewable sector in coming year after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the ambitious goals last month for cutting the emissions. Clean energy project got 74% of total funds from the financial institutions last year or 243.8 billion according to a report by New Delhi- based research organizations Climate Trends & Centre for Financial Accountability. That is a 6% rise from 2019 approvals for clean energy projects of about 229.71 billion in 2019.
