In India, goat farming is not new, people in rural India have been rearing goats since time immemorial. Below we have mentioned Two Great Breeds of Goat, through which you can earn huge profit.

Dumba Goat Breed

  • This breed is found more in UP (Uttar Pradesh).

  • Its demand increases a lot during Eid.

  • This breed can give a child between 7 months to 1 year.

  • Its child costs up to 30,000 in just 2 months, as its weight becomes 25 kg.

  • But as soon as it is 3 to 4 months, their price reaches 70 to 75 thousand rupees.

Osmanabadi Goat Breed

  • This breed is found in the Osmanabadi district of Maharashtra, hence it has been named Osmanabadi goat.

  • It is used for both milk and meat production.

  • This goat is found in many types of colors.

  • Its adult male goat weighs about 34 kg and female goat weighs up to 32 kg.

  • This breed of goat is capable of giving 0.5 to 1.5 liters of milk daily.

  • This goat eats all kinds of fodder. It also eats sour, sweet & bitter fodder with fervor.

The main objective of organizing this national training is to make people aware of goat farming.

  • You can get training for goat farming from the Central Goat Research Institute, Makhdoom, Farah, and Mathura (UP).
