  • IMD Predicts Cold Waves in Northern India in the Next 48 Hours

    On 16th December (Thursday), the India Meteorological Department forecasted severe cold conditions in many parts of northern India, Kutch & Saurashtra during the next 5 days. The weather department said that the temperature is set to fall in some parts of the country as cold wave conditions are all set to hit over Haryana, Punjab Chandigarh & Saurashtra & Kutch from 17th to 21st December.

  • PM Modi to Lay Foundation Stone of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur on December 18

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone of the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on 18th December 2021. The project is a part of the central government’s vision of providing fast-paced connectivity across the country. Access controlled expressways support the fast & safe movement. The 595-km long, six-lane expressway will be built at a cost of over Rs 36,200 crore. Starting near Bijauli village in Meerut, the expressway will extend till near Judapur Dandu Village in Prayagraj. It will pass through Meerut, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Budaun, Sambhal, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, and Praygraj & Pratapgarh.

     

  • Agriculture Experts for MSP Based on the Realistic Cost, Subsidized Diesel

    In its pre-Budget submission to the finance ministry on Wednesday, farmer organizations and Agri specialists pushed for MSP based on the realistic cost of production, increased diesel subsidies, and allowing new technology such as genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Pankaj Chaudhary and Bhagwat Karad, Ministers of State for Finance, held the first virtual pre-Budget consultations with members of the agriculture and agro-processing industries.
