Central government has asked state governments to keep hoarding and black marketing in check this lockdown. These are punishable acts, and government is acting against these so as to make sure that the essential goods are easily available to the public and at correct rates.

Their innovations have helped the country in its fight against the pandemic. PM asked these companies to increase the production of Corona fighting drugs. These companies thanked the government for all the support that they have given them.

Government’s procurement of rabi crops under MSP going smoothly
Government is procuring rabi crops from farmers at MSP and the funds are being transferred directly into the farmers accounts. Last week over Rs 200 Crores were deposited into the accounts of farmers in Punjab alone.

Satellite monitoring will help in avoiding floods causalities
Most of the floods that have happened recently have been caused by melting of the glaciers, although there are other reasons like cloud bursting. This melting can be detected with the help of satellites which will allow us to predict if there are going to be flood like situations so that the regions close to these risk prone areas can be evacuated.

Supreme court has told the protesting farmers, if they want to protest its fine, but they should not cause problems to others. The freedom of movement of ordinary citizens is affected by the blocking of the roadways, which has been a nuisance to the commuters.

Rahul Gandhi has tweeted that after suffering from mild symptoms he got himself tested for Corona and his tests are positive. He requested all those who come in contact with him recently to follow the procedure.

Protesting farmers leaders have announced that their fellow protestors need not worry about food, as food will be supplied to all protestors. Focusing on the task at hand they said, the farm laws don't benefit the farmers and government should understand their concerns.

UK adds India to corona "red list"
Indians will not be allowed to travel to UK in a few days as it is to be added to the "red list", which means that India is not safe to go to or come from. This addition to "red list" is a result of the researchers in UK having found a new variant of Corona, which is suspected to be Indian.

All above 18 can be vaccinated from 1st May
The Corona vaccines which so far were allowed for citizens of 45 years and above, will be available for citizens of 18 years and above from 1st of May. This has been announced as the number of Corona cases and deaths rises across India.

Government provides subsidy to TFL
Subsidy to Talcher Fertilizer Limited, total cost of setting which is approximately Rs 133 billion, has been approved by the Central Government. Once setup it will be capable of producing 12.7 LMT of Urea per year, which no longer will be required to be imported saving India's foreign exchanges. This project will fulfill India's dream of self-sufficiency.

All Himalayan states will face some rainfall today, in varying capacities. J&K and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand will face rain with lightening and there will be rain over isolated areas in North East. Some low-lying regions next to these states may also see some rain.
