  • Tomar Calls Upon Students & Youth to Contribute in Making Agriculture More Profitable

    Kailash Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, was the special guest. On this occasion, Tomar stated that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is constantly working to improve the agriculture sector through various schemes. Students and youth involved in agriculture should also contribute to bringing more benefits to the country's agriculture sector and making villages more prosperous. Union Minister Tomar stated that the agriculture sector is important and that everyone's interest in it should grow, that youth should be drawn to it, and that it is all of our responsibility.

     

     

     

  • Farmers to Hold ‘Rail Roko’ in Gurdaspur from February 22; Demand MSP for All Crops

    The “Rail Roko” protest organized by the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMKSC) is gaining momentum and is all set to be launched on February 22nd. The farmers are protesting against the government over the unfair compensation for land acquisition for the Bharat Mala project, according to Sarwan Singh Pandher, the general secretary of the organization. After the union meeting, Pandher claimed that vulnerable and economically weaker farmers were paid much less for compensation than their socially stronger counterparts. Moreover, according to him, the administration has not yet clarified why the disparity in compensation has taken place for the adjacent plots.

     

  • Government to Add More Seats in CCS-NIAM; Abolish Compulsory Stay in Hostel

    The Centre will be adding 60 more seats in the PG Diploma in Agri-Business Management course offered by the Jaipur-based Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (CCS-NIAM). This was announced by Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Sunday, along with stressing that the youth should be more attracted to the farm sector. Additionally, the government will also abolish the compulsory rule that students would have to reside in the hostel. The minister announced all the changes while speaking to the 4th convocation of CCS-NIAM in Jaipur. At present, the college takes 60 students for the PG Diploma in Agribusiness Management.

     

  • IIL Steals the Show at PMFAI-SML Awards with ‘Successful Company of the Era’ & ‘Leader of the Year- Agrochemicals’

    The Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) hosted the 2-day 17th International Crop-Science Conference & Expo in Dubai, UAE. Delegates and leading agrochemical companies visited the 2-day international event which is being manifested as India's 'biggest agri inputs trade show'. The first day of the event began with a conference, followed by a series of seminars to educate attendees on new product releases and the evolution of the agrochemical industry.

     

  • PM Kisan 13th Installment: e-KYC Mandatory to Receive Rs. 2000

    We have an important update for over 11 crore farmers eagerly waiting for the 13th installment of PM Kisan Yojana. In order to prevent scams and fraud, the government has made a few changes in the scheme. Read on to know the details; The government had made e-KYC compulsory for all the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (new and existing). It had also asked the farmers to update their PM Kisan e-KYC on time to continue receiving the benefits of the scheme.
