  • Heavy Rainfall Expected in Northeast India, West Bengal & Bihar from 24th August

    In All India Weather forecast, IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in Norteast India , West Bengal and Bihar this week. The change in weather conditions is due to a cyclonic circulation that lies over northeast Rajasthan and trough runs from North east Rajasthan to telangana across Madhya Pradesh and vidarbha in lower tropospheric levels.

  • Include Paddy & Cowpea under PM’s Crop Insurance Scheme, Says PMK Leader, S. Ramadoss

    PMK (Indian political Party) leader S. Ramadoss said that the Prime Minister’s Crop Insuarance scheme, which is implemented in partnership with state governments to support farmers from natural calamities, must include Kuruvai Paddy and cowpea crops. The date of paying the crop Insurance premium should be extended to August 31.

  • Synthetic Milk Factory Busted in Mathura, 2 Caught Red Handed

    A synthetic Milk factory was busted in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh and 2 of the accused are arrested. The raid was conducted jointly by Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) and the police in Naugaon Village that falls under Chhata Kotwali Station, the two accused namely Salman Khan and Shabir Khan were caught red handed.

  • Farmer Unionists met Punjab co-operation Minister for the Increased Sugarcane Prices

    On Sunday, the farmer unionists met Punjab co-operation minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Senior bureaucrats for the increased price of sugarcane and dues which were their issues for the August 20 protest in Jalandhar. The Punjab Govt promised to get agricultural expert to consult the farmers on Monday on the cost of production details related to sugarcane.

  • Cotton acreage likely to come down by 15%

    With farmers shifting to oilseeds and pulses cultivation in several parts of the country, area under cotton Cultivation is likely to come down by 15%. Though it had expected to top last year’s area of 129 lakh hectares, the cottonseed industry now says it will be lower. “We are hoping to close the season with about 4.20-4.30 crore packets (of 450 gm each) this year as against the average sales of 5-5.5 crore packets,” a seed industry executive has said.

  • Highways partially opened after talks with farmers

    In response to a plea seeking removal of farmers blocking roads between Noida and Delhi, the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana told the Supreme Court that they have partially opened the highways from their sides after holding discussion with the protesting farmers.At Singhu Border, Farmers are occupying only one lane of NH 44 now and at the Tikri border, the Jharoda- Bahadurgarh road is opened on one side.
