  • Farmer from Delhi Spends Rs 70,000 to Send 10 Labourers Home through Flight

    A mushroom farmer from Delhi Pappan Singh, has paid Rs 70,000 for air tickets to send ten of his labourers who are migrants from Bihar, back home. The farmer has also been feeding & sheltering them for nearly two months. For labourers like Lakhwinder Ram, who has worked with Singh for more than two decades, this means he can go back to his family with his health as well as dignity intact.

  • India Covid-19 Latest Update: Cases Rises above 1.5 lakh; Virus to Stay till 2021

    India on Wednesday crossed the 1.5 lakh mark with 6,387 new infections. As per reports, out of the 151,767 cases, 64,425 have recovered, while 83,004 are active cases. As per the health ministry, around 42.45 per cent of patients have recovered so far, while the death toll stands at 4,337. Maharashtra is the worst-affected, while Mumbai alone has over 35,000 cases — higher than any other state.

  • SBI Cuts FD Rates Second Time in a Month

    State Bank of India (SBI), the country's biggest lender, has reduced fixed deposits rates by 40 basis points (bps) across all tenor. However, on bulk deposits (Rs 2 crore or more), SBI has cut interest rates by 50 basis points. The revised interest rates are applicable from today i.e. May 27, 2020.
