    The Pakistan Military Monitor (PMM) reports that Pakistan is facing an unparalleled food crisis, marked by a severe shortage of wheat nationwide, which could result in unrest. Disasters tend to have the most significant impact on the most vulnerable members of society, who often require a prolonged period to recover from their suffering. PMM suggests that the food crisis has cast a pessimistic shadow on the future of the impoverished in the country. Scarcity is resulting in skyrocketing prices for the main grain, which are reaching new highs every week. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics' most recent Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), prices rose 47.2 percent year on year for the week ending April 19, 2023. The Pakistani media is flooded with sad accounts of pandemonium and stampedes at markets from all over the country.

The BJP leader's comments come amid rising concerns over farmers' welfare in the country, with many farmers protesting against new agricultural laws that they say will harm their interests. JP Nadda criticized the opposition in a public meeting, revealing that during the tenures of Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah in the state, the party was asked to provide the names of farmers for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. However, only 17 farmers' names were submitted by Kumaraswamy, which Nadda sarcastically referred to as a "brilliant" performance.

In a recent directive issued by the Personnel Ministry, it was stated that the process of organ removal from a donor is a significant surgical procedure that requires a considerable period of recovery, including hospitalization and post-hospitalization phases.

    Some of the serious complaints raised by farmers at the farmers’ grievance meeting held at the Madurai Collectorate on Friday were sewage mixing into irrigation canals, irregularities in direct purchase centres, and encroachment on waterbodies. ollector S. Aneesh Sekhar chaired the meeting. From Thenur, a farmer said that there were irregularities in the operation of the DPCs. He complained that influential people were engaged in the irregularities. He said relevant action should be taken against them. He said that the farmers were made to pay excess fees. Also, he showed a video clip to the Collector as proof of the irregularities. The farmer said that he was also facing threats. Aneesh Sekhar said that he would look into the matter.
