  • Rainfall likely to Increase in These States from 9th July

    According to the India Meteorological Department because of strengthening of Southwest monsoon over Arabian Sea, enhanced the rainfall activity is very likely along with the west coast from Friday 9th July. There will be isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe and Konkan & Goa from Friday 9th July.

  • Rabi marketing season sees Highest Procurement of Wheat

    The marketing season of Rabi seen the highest procurement of wheat by the government agencies in history. At 43 million tonnes, this is 33% higher than average for past five Rabi seasons. It underscores prime role played by government in the procurement of farm produce. This becomes important in context of three farm laws which was introduced last year.

  • President to appoint New Governors to Four States

    The President Ram Nath Kovind named four new governors, including one of the National Democratic Alliance’s senior-most ministers, Thaawarchand Gehlot & shifter four others on Tuesday, amid the speculation of an imminent cabinet reshuffle, setting in motion, the Union governments very first major overhaul since it returned to the power after two years ago.

  • Kerala Government to curb areas with High Covid Positive rates

    The government of Kerala decided to intensify its local body level approach to control the spread of coronavirus disease from 7th July Wednesday. The state has decided to impose more restrictions at the places with high Covid-19 test positive rate. However, the curbs will be eased where situation seems to stabilize.

  • Price of crude oil dip to tune of 0.25% on 7th July

    After missing its six years high by whisker, the Crude oil price dipped to tune of 0.25% on 7th July Wednesday, at the Multi Commodity Exchange and hit Rs 5480 per barrel. The price of crude oil had also fallen sharply yesterday on 6th July, after scaling near to its 6 years high of Rs 5669 per barrel.

  • Labor Minister of West Bengal cycled 38km in Protest against the hike in petrol price

    The Labor Minister of West Bengal Becharam Manna cycled a distance of 38 kilometer from his home in Hooghly district to reach state assembly in the protest as the price of petrol crossed the mark of Rs 100 in Kolkata.

     

  • CBSE to take measures to ensure Seamless & Transparent process of Assessment of class 10th & 12th

    As the covid-19 pandemic disrupted the regular classes & exams in previous and current academic year. The Central Board of Secondary Education forced to cancel class 10th & 12th exams. In view of this the board formulated parameters, which will use to declare results of 2020 to 2021 batch & announce same earlier last month. Several other measures were also taken to ensure transparent & seamless process of the assessment.

     

  • Giriraj Singh launches Mobile App “Matsya Setu” for Fish Farmers

    The union minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Giriraj Singh launched the Online Course Mobile App “Matsya Setu” on Tuesday 6th July. The app was developed by the ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, with funding support of the National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad. The online course app aims to disseminate latest freshwater aquaculture technologies to aqua farmers of the country.
