Mixed Farming

Mixed farming is defined as the cultivation of crops combined with livestock farming such as growing cereal crops as well as the raising of cattle, sheep, pigs, or poultry. Because all products are used, it delivers a high return on agricultural work. It is not necessary to purchase feed and fertilizer in order to grow crops or sustain livestock, therefore saving money.

Livestock enterprises work in conjunction with crop production to create a healthy and profitable farming system. It has the advantage of reducing reliance on external sources because the crop and animal components of the farm complement each other.
