AgriBazaar, an Agritech platform, has partnered with Rivulis, a global supplier of micro-irrigation merchandise and options, to enable farmers registered on its platform to deploy the latter's drip irrigation programmes.
The first section of the partnership would see AgriBazaar facilitate the purchase and installation of Rivulis' drip irrigation programmes for sugarcane farmers registered on its platform.
Finally, the corporation intends to make the scheme available to all farmers, which are currently estimated to number over 3 lakhs on its platform.
"At AgriBazaar, our goal is to increase the prosperity of India's agriculture sector." Our distinct, end-to-end services portfolio is intended to sustain and strengthen the Indian agri value chain through the application of expertise.
The collaboration with Rivulis will be critical in our efforts to provide farmers with best-in-class pre-harvest applied sciences.
"I'm confident that this initiative will enable our farmer prospects to achieve higher yields and value realization," said Amit Mundawala, Co-founder and Managing Director of AgriBazaar.
AgriBazaar will use its remote sensing engine, Agribhumi, to determine the exact condition of the farmland and ensure that irrigated water is used uniformly. It should assess the need of individual farmers based primarily on their land topography, soil conditions, crop selection, and climate forecasting.
The platform will also provide in-depth area state analytics, including agriculture climate forecasts, vegetation indices, and plant progress levels, among other critical components.
"At Rivulis, we look forward to the partnership with AgriBazaar and providing farmers with the opportunity to implement good irrigation practices regardless of the size of their landholdings," said Kaushal Jaiswal, Managing Director, Rivulis India. “We are confident that the collaboration will add significant value to the agri-ecosystem and contribute to the sustainability and efficacy of India's agriculture business."
