On the other hand, the central government’s ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan’ (PM-KUSUM) has been implemented across the nation with full swing. After Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, it’s Haryana that has decided to implement KUSUM Yojana across the state.
In this series, the Haryana government has brought the Manohar Jyoti Yojana or Solar Panel Subsidy Scheme which aims to provide relief to the common people from the irrigation, electricity and water problem. As per the report, the Haryana government has targeted to distribute solar panels on subsidy under Manohar Jyoti Yojana / Solar Panel Subsidy Scheme across all districts.
Benefits from Manohar Jyoti Yojana / Solar Panel Subsidy Yojana
Under the Manohar Jyoti scheme, a solar system will be provided to empower every family who is engaged in the farm field.
There will also be a lithium-ion battery with a solar system so that continuous power can be obtained without interruption.
As per government instructions, electricity from 1 kilowatt to 500 kilowatts can be produced from this solar panel system.
Who can apply for Solar Panel Subsidy Scheme?
The family who don’t have access to electricity
Scheduled Caste Family (SC)
Households living below the poverty line (as per the Ration Card issued by the Food and Supplies Department of the state government).
As per reports, you need to note that only applicants who are falling in the above categories will get the benefits of 'Manohar Jyoti Home Lighting System'. This will be selected on the basis of 'first application-first service' (who will apply first from the eligible persons of the scheme, they will get the first benefit).
Subsidy on Solar Panel
Solar panel kits available under this scheme can be easily mounted on the roof of any room in the house. It costs about ₹ 20000 to install this solar panel system and the state government of Haryana has announced a subsidy of ₹ 15,000 on it.

How to apply for solar panel subsidy scheme?
The application can be made online only through the state government official website.
Apart from this, online service facility is available on Antyodaya Saral Portal from Common Service Center.
