The Department of "Act East Policy Affairs," Government of Assam, with the support of Ministry of External Affairs and in association with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing “Act East Through Northeast:
Connectivity Conclave" on 27th May, 2022 in Guwahati. The event is being organized to mark the first anniversary of the new Government in Assam under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and to commemorate "India - ASEAN friendship year."
The Government of India, as part of the "Act East policy", has been working with ASEAN partners to improve connectivity, boost the quantum of trade & commerce, and enhance economic cooperation. Participants in the conclave will deliberate upon the emerging opportunities for enhancing connectivity, trade, and investments relations with the ASEAN countries, with a focus on Assam and the Northeast.
It is expected that the deliberations at the conclave will provide important inputs for future initiatives for economic development and collaboration with the ASEAN Countries.
